Christel and I were fortunate to have been introduced to Kaori Takamura's innovative art by friends, during our recent visit from California. They had two of her paintings hanging prominently on the walls of their house, both featured as important additions to their otherwise eclectic collection. It didn't take much to convince us to arrange for a showing of her other recent works. All four of us went to her studio and and, minutes after our arrival, the problem for Christel and me was not whether to buy but which one of her several great paintings was going to be our Kaori Takamura first. One of them was especially beautiful and we bought it even though it was to be included in her upcoming show at a local gallery and wouldn't get to our home until three months later. The 90-day wait was worth it. Kaori's painting arrived exactly on the date promised in a professional crate reminiscent of the one for another painting from Germany, by a world-known artist, a couple of years earlier. The crate was not only structurally sound but almost an art object in itself. Kaori's painting has been hanging in our living room ever since. Our guests' comments have ranged from strong to enthusiastic approval. Since my retirement from a high-tech career in 1989, I have devoted much of my time to painting. I am a tough judge of works of art, whether those of others or my own. Christel is even tougher. Both of us are happy and proud to own one of Kaori's paintings. From time to time, we may move it to different walls in our house. But it will always be up there.

As an avid contemporary art collector we have seldom found a young artist with the talent of kaori. the dedication and quality going in each of her paintings convinced us to purchase several of her of pieces over the last year. we will continue to watch her progress in the art world and believe that kaori will go a long way in years to come.
