This is How I Aged 108

This is How I Aged 108 Composing/Erasing Time

Installation at Chaos Theory, Phoenix AZ 2022

Through this installation series, I’m trying to express my personal perspective on the sublime aging process of people; how we begin and how we end and what this means to each of us. I am creating numbered boxes where each box represents each age we experience, like a time capsule, that contains the various thoughts and memories through the passing of time in our lives. Each of the 108 boxes are cut by laser and constructed individually by hand with either hand-stitched or engraved numbers. In Buddhism, it is believed that humans have 108 sins.
